ABC News will feature Ayuda's anti-trafficking work tonight at 10pm E.S.T. on the television show 20/20. The show will tell the story of "Sarah," an Ayuda client who was brought to the United States and subjected to forced labor, abuse, and rape. Unfortunately, Sarah is not alone. An estimated 20,000 individuals are trafficked into the United States annually, according to the U.S. Department of State. And, the DC area is one of the top 10 destinations for human traffickers in the country.
Ayuda has partnered with the Ricky Martin Foundation, the Inter-American Development Bank, the DC Mayor's Office on Latino Affairs to combat human trafficking in our region. Please click here to learn how you can take action to support our direct services for human trafficking victims.
